This position paper outlines a rights-based approach to providing care for people with autism, specifically in the areas of habilitation, health care, education and social inclusion.
It has been drafted by Autism-Europe, the International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions (IACAPAP) and the European Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (ESCAP).
It has been presented and officially adopted at the VIII International Congress of Autism-Europe (Oslo, September 2nd 2007).
