At the conference in June, Autism-Europe representative and European Disability Forum Vice President, Donata Vivanti, highlighted the need for more action from states to ensure implementation of the UNCRPD across Europe.
The presentation given by Donata informed the European disability and policy community on states’ obligations to people with disabilities under the UNCRPD, and described the many actions still required to ensure its implementation across Europe.
The conference, titled ‘A prelude to the European Accessibility Act: Findings of the International Zero Project Report 2012’ aimed to present the findings of a report on progress towards implementation of the UNCRPD and highlight good practices among European countries.
