Specialisterne Foundation launched in United States to create jobs for people with autism

The Specialisterne Foundation, an organisation that aims to create jobs in the IT sector for people with high-functioning autism, has now launched in the United States.

Launched in Wilmington, Delaware, the organisation is currently raising additional funds and hopes to have employment activities up and running in Autumn.

The Specialisterne Foundation was founded in Denmark by Thorkil Sonne, father of a child with autism, and now also has offices in Iceland, Scotland, Switzerland and Austria.

The organisation’s next aim is to spread its business model across the United States and Canada, employing more people with high-functioning autism.
