Evelyne Friedel, former President and current Vice President of Autism-Europe, has been elected lawyer of the year in EU law for the second time in her home country, France. Friedel was once responsible for bringing about the Collective Complaint No. 13/2002 resulting in the condemnation of France by the Council of Europe. This action led to the implementation of France’s subsequent Autism Plans.
