Last month, we received the very sad news that Peter Lambreghts, Senior Officer of the European Network on Independent Living (ENIL) and European Disability Forum’s Board Member, had passed away.
Autism-Europe and the whole disability movement will miss a valuable friend and a great activist who dedicated his life to fighting for the respect of the rights and full inclusion of persons with disabilities in society.
“The disability movement in his country, in Europe is now poorer. We have lost a great disability activist, a brilliant leader and above all a great person”, said European Disability Forum President, Yannis Vardakastanis.
His commitment, passion, hard work and kindness will continue inspiring the work of Autism-Europe’s team every day. Our thoughts are with Peter’s family and friends as well as with his colleagues from the ENIL and Onafhankelijke Leven.
