Autism-Europe members meet in La Spezia
Between 3 and 5 May 2019, Autism Europe members met in La Spezia.
La Spezia is a city in Italy.
Italy is a country in Europe.
More than 50 members came to the meeting in the city of La Spezia.
The members came from 14 different countries.
The members at the meetings talked about the things Autism-Europe will do in the future.
Members also talked about the campaign of Autism-Europe.
They also talked about plans for Autism-Europe’s congress in 2019.
They chose to accept new members of Autism-Europe.
They chose where Autism-Europe’s congress will be in 2022.
The members also went to a hostel, where autistic people work.
A hostel is a place where people can stay overnight.
The name of the hostel is Sant’Anna.
Then the members also went to a place where autistic people learn how to work.
The name of this place is Luna Blue.
At this place there is also a hotel and restaurant where autistic people work.
restaurant is a place where people can go to eat and drink.
The food and drinks are brought by autistic people.
On 3 May, Luna Blue opened.
Aurelie Baranger was there when Luna Blue opened.
She is the director of Autism-Europe.
She said Autism-Europe fully agrees with the way autistic people are helped at Luna Blue
to live and work on their own.
