The EESC Study Group on Disability Rights is organising a public hearing on "The new MFF and cohesion policy: how to better use EU funds for persons with disabilities in the new financial framework". The aim of the event is to look into the changes for funds available for inclusions of persons with disabilities in the new MFF and cohesion policy.

Open event of the Disability Intergroup: Making the European Disability Card a reality

This event will try to answer the questions mentioned above with the clear goal to investigate an expansion of the pilot project to make it into a truly European initiative. Both national authorities as well as Disabled Persons’ Organisations and Card holders will be able to express their views.

The Disability Intergroup of the European Parliament is an informal grouping of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) from all nationalities and most political groups who are interested in promoting the disability policy in their work at the European Parliament as well as at the national level.

The Disability Intergroup is one of the oldest Intergroups of the European Parliament: it was established in 1980. It is also one of the largest ones, with over 110 MEPs.

The European Day of Persons with Disabilities (EDPD) conference usually takes place in Brussels and is co-organised with the European Commission. This year, the EDPD will be a hybrid meeting, with some speakers in the room and an online audience. It will take place in the morning, on 1 December and 2 December
