Glasgow, UK."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><strong>As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Autism-Europe&rsquo;s member Scottish Autism, a two day conference which aims to provide a platform for sharing visionary approaches to the development of autism practice will be held in November 2018.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The programme will be influenced and informed by a contemporary view that embraces autism as a developmental difference and focuses on a capacity view of the individual. Day one will centre around the culture and context of practice and day two will look at innovation in practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Keynote speakers will include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Etienne Wenger-Trayner, Independent researcher, consultant, author and speaker, USA<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Professor Roy Richard Grinker, Professor of Anthropology and International Affairs, USA<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Peter Vermeulen, Autism Consultant, Lecturer and Trainer, Autisme Centraal, Gent, Belgium<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Dr Jacqueline Ravet, Senior Lecturer, University of Aberdeen, UK<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Jon Adams, Artistic Director, Flow Observatorium, UK<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Charlene Tait, Director of Autism Practice &amp; Research, Scottish Autism<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Scottish Autism want to engage with others who share our ambition to promote practice based evidence and recognise the value of the lived experience of autistic people.\u00a0 We would like to invite you to submit an abstract for an oral or poster submission on the following topics:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Innovative service design and delivery<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Participation \u2013 valuing the lived experience of autistic people<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Enabling voice and choice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Research to practice \u2013 models of support that have been informed by research or evaluation<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Communities of practice that support the development of good autism practice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">New perspectives on the use of evidence within autism research<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">By clicking on the link below you will be invited to create an account and submit your oral or poster submission.
