{"id":48092,"date":"2023-07-05T12:32:10","date_gmt":"2023-07-05T10:32:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.autismeurope.org\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=48092"},"modified":"2023-07-05T12:34:33","modified_gmt":"2023-07-05T10:34:33","slug":"pathways-to-care-for-autistic-children-with-and-without-associated-epilepsy-across-europe","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.autismeurope.org\/fr\/event\/pathways-to-care-for-autistic-children-with-and-without-associated-epilepsy-across-europe\/","title":{"rendered":"Pathways to care for autistic children, with and without associated epilepsy, across Europe."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">This talk will summarise the results from an\u202fautism care pathway\u202fanalysis in Europe, which was part of a\u202f<\/span><span lang=\"aa\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aims-2-trials.eu\/2022\/05\/31\/the-value-of-treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"6\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Value of Treatment (VoT) project<\/span><\/a><\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">. The care pathway of autistic children (with and without epilepsy) was analysed from the perspectives of carers, the autism community and professionals to identify service disparities. These are things that prevent autistic families from receiving information, support, timely screening\/diagnosis of autism and associated epilepsy, intervention\/follow-up support, effective treatment of epilepsy and the underlying causes of these gaps. Lastly, the group\u202fwill discuss their\u202fproposed recommendations to improve this pathway.\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Speakers &#8211; Dr Andreina Mendez, and our Autism Representatives: Roderik Plas and Pierre Violland<\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">Join AIMS-2-TRIALS for our latest <\/span><span lang=\"aa\"><span lang=\"en-GB\">public webinar<\/span><\/span><span lang=\"en-GB\">, with a talk about service access for autistic children, with and without epilepsy.
