SUMMARY:The Istanbul Convention: preventing and combating violence against women and girls with disabilities
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will be an opportunity to hear from the Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO) on the relevance of the Istanbul Convention for women and girls with disabilities and how to contribute to its implementation with the goal to end violence against all women and girls. DESCRIPTION:This conference has been cancelled due to the current Covid-19 situation. \nEurope in Action is an annual conference which brings together more than 200 people with intellectual disabilities\, their families and professionals. They discuss issues important to them and share experiences and ideas to advance inclusion. Europe in Action 2020 is organised by Inclusion Europe together with Lebenshilfe Austria. The topic fro 2020 is Quality education for all. \nThe conferences are organised by Inclusion Europe and a national partner organisation (Inclusion Europe member). The first Europe in Action conference was organised in 2003. The latest Europe in Action took place in Vilnius\, Lithuania\, in June 2019. \nRegister here \n\n\nAdvancing inclusive education throughout the life-span\n\n\n\n\nThe conference aims at setting the stage looking at aspects of education as an essential part of life. \n\n\n\n\nThe goal is to start a conversation for inclusive education becoming the new normal. \nThe keynotes\, workshops and “walkshops” demonstrate how well-working examples of good practices can be facilitated and turned into new perspectives. \nDiscussions focus on how crucial stakeholders\, policy makers\, teachers\, students\, families and communities can take action and contribute within their areas of responsibility. \n\n\n\nAreas of education\nThe different stages of education form the basis for the conference: \n\nPre-school\nSchool\nUniversity\nVocational training and further education\nPeople with disabilities as teachers and education professionals\n\n\nProgramme concept note
