Webinar on « European Electronic Communications Code: Ensuring accessibility of telecom services for persons with disabilities »

The European Disability Forum is delighted to announce its Webinar on « European Electronic Communications Code: Ensuring accessibility of telecom services for persons with disabilities ».

This webinar will aim to:

• provide an overview of the Code, including its scope, objectives, monitoring and enforcement mechanisms, the role of the national regulators and Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC);
• advise organisations of persons with disabilities on how to effectively advocate for ambitious transposition of the European law with stronger provisions on accessibility and protection of consumers with disabilities in national law, notably through the promotion of relevant accessibility standards and the European Accessibility Act;
• introduce the main recommendations of the EDF toolkit on transposition of EECC, which will be published before the webinar.
