Specialisterne Foundation expands to Ireland, Poland and United Kingdom to create jobs for people with autism

The Specialisterne Foundation, a Danish non-profit organisation that aims to create jobs in the IT sector for people with autism, has begun operating in Ireland and Poland.

The Irish foundation was launched in December 2012 and has now selected candidates for assessment and training.

The Polish foundation was launched in October 2012, and is also now recruiting candidates for assessment and training.

The Specialisterne Foundation is also currently working on expanding its operations in the United Kingdom. The organisation is working to secure funding, office space in London and agreements with corporate partners for internships, business services and job placements are under negotiation.

Specialisterne Foundation was founded in Denmark by Thorkil Sonne, father of a child with autism. The organisation aims to continue spreading its business model across many countries to employ more people with autism.
