A petition has been launched to support only evidence-based approaches to autism within the third French national plan for autism..
The petition has been launched by a collective of autism associations and individuals who are concerned about the influence of psychoanalysts on the development of the new plan.
The petition calls on the French Government to support the following principles in the new plan:
- Early intervention;
- Strengthening the diagnosis in adults;
- Development of training courses;
- Medical and social care that conforms to national and international recommendations and standards;
- Taking into account the voices and rights of people with autism when developing the plan.
