Autism Spain warns about limits of new Spanish legislation

The organisation Autism Spain considers that the Spanish Law 15/2015 on the affairs of the voluntary jurisdiction, published in July 2015, does not provide full legal capacities for persons with disabilities, and in particular persons with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Despite the law having been adapted according to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, it does not provide any specific measures on developing a system for helping people with disabilities make decisions, as outlined in Article 12 of the Convention.
