Salzburg, Austria, awarded Europe’s most accessible city 2011

The European Commission recently awarded Salzburg Europe’s most accessible city. The award aims to recognise the city that has made the most significant improvement in fostering equal participation of people with disabilities through accessible as well as providing accessible information.   The Award Ceremony took place in Brussels during the European Day of Persons with Disabilities Conference in the presence of Vice-President of the European Commission Viviane Reding and President of the European Disability Forum Yannis Vardakastanis.
