New ‘health passport’ resource for people with special needs

A health ‘passport’ document has been developed in the United States to help make visits to hospitals or health care providers less stressful for people with autism and other disabilities.

‘My Health Passport’ has been developed by the University of South Florida. The passport is a form in which vital information such as their communication difficulties, sensitivities, special needs and medical history can be written so that doctors and health care providers can be aware of these.
