This report aims to articulate the issues and difficulties faced by people with autism in relation to employment across Europe.
Studies have shown that between 76 and 90 per cent of adults with autism are unemployed. In the context of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, it outlines various forms of support that can be utilised to enable individuals with autism spectrum disorders to participate in employment. It also provides examples of good practices in providing this support which can inspire relevant organisations to create further employment opportunities for people with autism.
