Autism-Europe takes part in conference on accessibility of higher education

The MapAbility conference focused on strengthening the accessibility of higher education institutions for students with special needs, and took place at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on June 2, 2014.

Participants discussed ways of increasing the involvement of people with disabilities in higher education and Autism-Europe’s Director, Aurélie Baranger, highlighted the needs of students with autism. Autism-Europe is currently collaborating with ESN in mapping the accessibility of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Europe for students with disabilities and special needs, and the first outcomes of the data collection process were presented at the conference.
