Four new members from three new countries join Autism-Europe

The associations Lietaus Vaikai (Lithuania), Autism Today (Bulgaria), the JiM Foundation (Poland) and Qudurati Centre (Saoudi Arabia) belong now to Autism-Europe after the last Autism-Europe (AE) General Assembly and Council of Administration meeting were held in Pula (Sardinia, Italy) on May 6 and 7, 2016.

The meetings, attended by more than 50 members of AE, were hosted by Diversamente Onlus Association (Italy) and were accompanied by a study visit to the Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorder (“G. Brotzu”- Hospital) in Cagliari, Italy.

At these meetings, representatives of European autism organisations gathered together to discuss and vote on issues related to AE’s activities and membership. They had the opportunity to share experiences on topics such as the quality of autism services and good practices in terms of awareness-raising of autism.

Highlights of the meetings included the (re)election of members of the Council of Administration, now 37 members from 24 countries, and the decision to hold the XII AE’s International Congress in Paris in 2019, hosted by Autisme France.
