Autism-Europe’s second Council of Administration meeting for 2016 was held in Paris, France, on November 5, hosted by Autisme France. The event took place in conjunction with an informal meeting with French self-advocates. A visit was organised at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, on November 6 in order to explore the possibility of using the venue for Autism-Europe’s next International Congress.
The Council of Administration meeting saw the participation of 34 Autism-Europe members and staff, together with external observers, from 17 different countries, and discussed topics such as Autism-Europe’s 2016 activities, recent policy developments, Autism-Europe’s past and future International Congresses, and the 2017 World Autism Awareness Day campaign. It was also an opportunity to present and explore Autism-Europe’s new self-advocacy strategy.
