The Latvian Autism Association, an affiliated member of Autism-Europe, organised a visit to Brussels in April 2017. The team of 10 delegates, made up of parents, teachers and self-advocates, came to the EU capital as part of a long-term process of study visits to gage good practice in autism services around Europe.
During their time in Brussels the team visited Autism-Europe’s secretariat, met decision-makers in the European Parliament, and took part in a fruitful study visit to one of the centres of the SUSA Bruxelles, a centre that offers care services for people with autism, as well as training for professionals.
