Autism-Europe is still accepting submissions for presentation at its next International Congress 2019 in Nice, France. Researchers, autistic people and professionals, and any other interested stakeholders are invited to send proposals for contribution to the scientific committee of the congress by February 13 2019.
The AE’s Congress welcomes submissions from researchers, practitioners, teachers, autistic individuals willing to share their personal experience, and other interested parties. Aiming at exploring a broad range of perspectives, both theoretical and practical, abstracts within the following key topic areas will be accepted:

- Diagnostic and assessment
- Employment
- Environment
- Family and stakeholder experience or support
- Gender & sexuality
- Inclusion and Community living
- Language and communication
- Mental Health
- Neural basis of Autism
- Neurodevelopmental conditions (overlap and co-occurring conditions)
- New technology & autism
- Physical Health
- Research and Ethics
- Responding to high and complex support needs
- Rights and participation
- Strategic planning and coordination of services
The above topics are designed to help provide coherence to the program, but not to be overly restrictive. Autism-Europe encourages individuals of all backgrounds to submit papers. Value will be placed on robust and well evidenced knowledge, including academic research and professional, personal and collective experience.
About the Congress
Autism-Europe’s 12th International Congress will take place in Nice, France, between the 13 and 15 September 2019. It will be hosted by Autism-Europe member, Autisme France. The theme of the 12th edition of the Congress is “A new dynamic for change and inclusion”. More than over 1,500 delegates are expected to attend this three-day event.
