The EU launches a public consultation on the impact of the European Social Fund to support inclusion

Until December 19 2019, you can provide your feedback to the European Commission on the European Social Fund (ESF) that supports social inclusion, combats poverty and fights discrimination.

The European Commission wishes to know citizens’ and stakeholders’ opinion on the activities carried out by the EU since 2014 in order to promote social inclusion, combat poverty and any discrimination. These activities were carried out with support from the European Social Fund.

The ESF is the EU’s main financial instrument for supporting employment in the member states of the European Union as well as promoting economic and social cohesion. ESF spending amounts to around 10% of the EU’s total budget.

More information

The information collected will be used in assessing what has been achieved during the 2014-2018 period. It will also help the Commission to draw lessons on how to reinforce this support in the future, making it more effective and focused. Amongst other subjects, the evaluation will assess whether the persons most in need of assistance were adequately reached (including geographically) and which type of support has been the most effective.

You can contribute to this consultation by filling in the online questionnaire. If you are unable to use the online questionnaire, please contact us using the email address below.
