Transforming universities in an inclusive environment for people with intellectual disability
Project TUT4IND “Training University Teachers for the Inclusion of students with Intellectual disabilities” is an Erasmus+ project (2019-1-ES01-KA203-065823) that aims to develop a curriculum, for the acquisition of needed skills by university teachers and lecturers in order to attend the potential competences of their students with intellectual disability, but also to enhance their inclusion into society.
Target audience:
The conference is aimed at higher education teachers and professionals, teachers of students with intellectual disabilities, professionals supporting students with intellectual disabilities in their academic career and transition to higher education, policy makers, and everyone else with an interest in this topic!
Targets:
The main goal of the conference is to disseminate the outcomes and results of the TUT4IND project, more precisely the white paper, the developed training course for teachers and the virtual learning environment that has been created for teachers in higher education to learn more about the needs of students with intellectual disabilities in higher education. Another goal of the conference is again to raise awareness for the inclusion of students with intellectual disabilities in higher education.
