- Evaluating existing employment strategies for people with autism across Europe;
- Developing the best experience for employment of people with autism in the Czech Republic;
- Sharing information and good practices with other autism organisations across Europe.
The project involved people with autism, politicians, government representatives and employers in the process of creating a policy for the development of supportive employment opportunities for people with autism in the Czech Republic, which were presented to policy-makers and legislators.
In June 2013, Autism-Europe vice-president and self-advocate Pietro Cirrincione gave a presentation in Prague about the situation of people with autism in Italy. Titled ‘Employment support in Italy’ the presentation gave an overview of the employment barriers for people with autism in Italy, and was focused on the areas of diagnosis, public and self-awareness, legislation, and services.
Autism-Europe supported this three-year project, which was funded by the European Social Fund in the Czech Republic.
