In 2007 It was Norway's turn to play host to Autism-Europe's International Congress. The 8th edition of the congress had the theme "A World of Possibilities". The congress was hosted by Autism-Europe's Norwegian member, Autismeforeningen i Norge.
The congress in Oslo followed the theme ‘A world of possibilities’ and attracted 1,200 participants from around the world. The congress discussed and adopted the ‘Position paper on care for persons with autism spectrum disorders: A rights-based, evidence-based approach’, which was drafted by Autism-Europe in conjunction with associations of professionals and researchers in the field of autism.
